New Age Flag Football Set to Launch Spring of 2020

Charlotte's newest youth flag football league is set to launch in the Spring of 2020. Founded by Charles Johnson, he has hired a staff with over a decade's worth of flag football experience.

"I want to bring a fun and competitive experience to the Queen City. I've been coaching my son's team for several years and I feel the next step is to bring the opportunity to play flag football to our community. This is a league where anyone can get involved. We want the kids to have fun while also teaching them the fundamentals of the game," says Charles.

He has hired Ian Holmes as his Executive Director and JJ Briceno as his Commissioner. The duo founded and ran an adult league in Charlotte that boasted over 200 players from both North and South Carolina winning over half a dozen National Championships.

"This is a very excited time for the city of Charlotte. Our city is growing so fast. More and more families are moving to our area each and everyday. To have the support of Charles, someone who believes in Ian and myself, is tremendous. We've been involved in youth sports a handful of years and we look forward to bringing his vision to life," JJ explained.

Ian added, "New Age Flag Football is everything families should look for in a youth sports program. We care about our players and their families and will provide an organized and most importantly fun experience. Being around our players and seeing how the game of football can bring them joy is the reason I got involved in youth sports to begin with. Having Charles as our owner brings credibility to our league and I look forward to growing the game I fell in love with as a young man."

Registration for New Age Flag Football opens in January 2020.
