New Age Flag Football joins Steve Smith Family Foundation
On Saturday February 15th, 2020 the New Age Flag Football Staff attended the Annual Strike Out Domestic Violence event hosted by the Steve Smith Family Foundation. The organization is founded by former NFL player and Panther's legend Steve Smith and his Family. Their initiatives include domestic violence awareness and addressing family health and wellness.
"This is what it's all about! Our league is dedicated to more than just flag football in Charlotte. We want to be a part of the community, help give back when we can, and show others that we care about the positive things going on in our city," said Charles Johnson.
The event was held at Park Lanes where companies and families had the opportunity to donate to the organization, enjoy time bowling, enter raffles for prizes, and take pictures with the famous wide receiver.
"The Steve Smith Family Foundation is addressing important issues that we can all get behind. I think more importantly they're focused on these issues right here in Charlotte. We look forward to supporting them whenever we can," explained Ian Holmes.
Commissioner JJ Briceno added, "Whenever we have an opportunity to help others, we're going to jump on that opportunity. We plan to get more involved with this organization and many others in Charlotte. I hope that our families see how important our involvement in the community is and join us in the future for events like this one."
New Age Flag Football has many more community events lined up for 2020. Stay tuned to their website at www.NewAgeFFL.com to see how you can get involved.
